Virtual Therapy

We don’t just do therapy on a computer. We build a bridge of trust.

When a child smiles at the screen because they’re proud of what they just did, that’s when we know we’ve succeeded.

Why Choose Virtual Therapy?

  • The Comfort of Home: Children often perform better and show their true behaviors in a familiar setting.
  • Parent Empowerment: You get front row seats to every session, learning real-time strategies in your home environment that you can use all week long for faster progress.
  • Zero Commute: Save time and reduce the stress of rushing to and from appointments.
  • Consistency: Weather, minor sniffles, or travel don’t have to interrupt your child’s progress.
  • Therapy from Anywhere: Even if you live halfway around the world or you are on vacation, your child has the opportunity to work with some of the best therapists in their field.

Expert Care Right Where You Are

At the heart of our virtual practice isn’t just technology — it is heart. We know that for therapy to work, a child must feel seen, heard, and understood. Our therapists aren’t just experts in their fields, they are masters of digital engagement who lead with creativity, compassion, and a nurturing spirit.

How We Keep Your Child Engaged

It takes a special set of skills to translate a hug or a high-five through a monitor. Our team uses a Child-First approach to ensure every minute of the session is meaningful, including:

  • Radical Compassion: We meet your child exactly where they are each day. If they are having a tough sensory day or feeling shy, our therapist pivots with patience and grace, never forcing progress at the expense of their emotional well-being.
  • The Spark Factor: Our clinicians are trained in high-engagement techniques. Using animated story telling, interactive digital games and rewards, and an infectious energy, they will keep your child glued to the session; not because they have to be, but because they want to be.
  • Nurturing Transitions: We understand that starting a session can be hard. We use gentle warm-up rituals to build a safe, predictable space where your child feels brave to try new things.
  • A Supportive Voice for Parents: Compassion extends to you, too. We provide a judgment-free zone where we celebrate every small win together and navigate the challenges as a team.

Could My Child Benefit from Teletherapy?

While every child is unique, most parents are pleasantly surprised at how well their child does with teletherapy. Children typically are intrigued by screens and love watching themselves doing activities during Teletherapy, thus improving their engagement and attention to therapy sessions.

While many children thrive virtually, we know every child is different. We offer a free 15-minute consultation to determine if virtual sessions are the best fit for your family’s situation and goals.

Our Specialized Virtual Services

From obstacle courses to scavenger hunts, our virtual sessions are high-energy and creative! We use items you already have at home — play dough, laundry baskets, kitchen tongs, pillows, or painter’s tape — to build strength, coordination, and independence.

We may focus on:

  • Fine and Visual Motor: Handwriting, scissor skills, use of manipulatives, puzzles, buttoning, making crafts, for example
  • Sensory Processing: Creating sensory rich experiences right from your living room
  • Strength, Balance, and Coordination: Engaging in fun obstacle courses, e.g., animal walks, zig-zag hopping over jump rope, and walking / balancing on land mines (pillows)
  • Self-Care: Mastering routines like dressing, brushing teeth, and using utensils
  • Everyday Skills and Chores: Simple meal prep, cleaning, making their bed, helping with laundry
  • Social Skills: Appropriate play with siblings or inviting a friend to play a virtual board game online during session
  • Emotional Regulation: Learning to identify and feel various emotions and utilizing tools and strategies to regulate those emotions
  • Independent Play and Leisure Skills: Identifying activities and then participating in them

Virtual speech therapy is surprisingly engaging for kids. Through screen-sharing and interactive digital tools, we keep kids focused while they work on:

  • Pretend Play Skills: For instance, playing with a Little People Farm or with a toy bus, having a tea party, feeding a doll, using a banana as a phone, etc.
  • Articulation: Clearer speech through visual modeling
  • Language Development: Build vocabulary and following directions
  • Social Pragmatics: Practicing engagement, two-way conversations, playing games and turn-taking in a low pressure setting

Our ABA teletherapy focuses on direct intervention and Parent Training and Consultation. Focus of therapy may include:

  • Behavior Intervention: Handling meltdowns and working on transitions in the natural environment
  • Language / Communication / Conversational Skills: Following multi-step directions, labeling, fill-in-the blanks and answering questions
  • Daily Living: Implementing potty training, hygiene routines, mealtime independence, dressing, household chores
  • Skill Acquisition: Teaching your child to ask for what they need and follow house rules
  • Academic Readiness: Matching, sorting, patterns, letters, numbers, shapes, colors, sight words, following a digital or visual schedule
  • Play / Social Skills: Independent quiet play, interactions with siblings, functional toy play, imaginative play, invite a peer to hang out and play therapist led games online requiring turn-taking, waiting, coping with losing, following social rules

Feeding challenges can feel overwhelming and isolating. Mealtimes should be a time of connection, not a battle of wills. Our virtual feeding therapy brings a highly skilled therapist into your kitchen, the very place where challenges happen, to help your child develop a healthier, happier relationship with food.

In teletherapy, we work with the actual foods you have in your pantry and the routine you follow every night. This ensures that the progress we make sticks long after the session ends.

By observing your child in their natural booster seat or highchair, we can provide real-time, compassionate coaching that translates immediately to your daily life. Focus of therapy may be on:

  • Sensory Exploration: We use a gentle, no pressure approach to help children interact with new textures, smells, and colors at their own pace.
  • Oral Motor Skills: We build the physical strength and coordination needed for safe chewing, swallowing, and managing different food consistencies.
  • Expanding the Menu: We employ evidence-based techniques like food-chaining to slowly bridge the gap from preferred foods to new, nutritious options.
  • Mealtime Mechanics: We assess the positioning, seating, plate, cup, and even the utensils used, to ensure your child is physically set up for success.
  • Reducing Anxiety: We focus on the emotional side of eating, helping both the child and the parent lower stress levels so that trying becomes playing.
