Hi, I am Dr. Kari Thompson, and I have dedicated my career to mastering the complexities of pediatric growth and development. With a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and elite Board Certifications in Pediatrics and Autism, I’ve worked with children in every setting imaginable — from the high-stakes environment of the NICU and PICU to the comfort of their homes. 

My expertise spans the full spectrum of development, including:

• Neurodevelopmental: Certified ADHD Rehabilitation Provider, Autism Specialist, and Primitive Reflex Certified
• Sensory & Cognitive: Sensory Integration Certified, Interactive Metronome, and PACE Provider
• Feeding & Infancy: Advanced Certification in Feeding and Swallowing, Myofunctional Therapy, and Lactation Education
• Education & Literacy: Handwriting without Tears, Lindamood Bell Specialist, and Dyslexia Teacher Certification

I believe therapy shouldn’t stop at the clinic door and that is why I have been committed to empowering families beyond the clinic. I am a global lecturer and I have been featured as an expert in educational films, DVDs, and interior design books created to help parents and professionals support their children with special needs.

With a background as a Certified Interior Decorator and previous owner of Sensational Sensory Spaces, I have experience designing bedrooms and playrooms that support children’s unique sensory and developmental needs. I don’t just provide therapy; I help you build an entire environment where your child can thrive.
