SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY
At The Children's Therapy & Learning Center, we believe that Speech and Language Therapy should be paired with interactive play and engagement, lots of smiles and giggles and Sensory Integration therapy techniques.
Based on the anatomy of the brain and years of scientific research, it has been found that the sensory system, specifically the vestibular system, is highly correlated to the speech and language centers of the brain and when it is engaged and activated properly, a child is more likely to engage, and increase both verbal and non-verbal communication skills. For this reason, our highly trained and Certified Speech Language Pathologists have full access to the sensory integration gym and equipment and use sensory integration techniques and strategies throughout each child’s session to further promote communication and interactive play skills.
